Re: More info on my dads Hubertus

It’s a very early Hubertus. It’s model #4001 Hh Those with an actual tang stamp punched into the steel are the earlier models. Any with the etch lengthwise on the blade itself are more recent models. I have a catalog page I can post from a 1950s Hubertus catalog I found. This one is very collectible...

The ones with this horizontal INOX are good ones from the 1970s.

Re: Any help on what this is?

At one time, not so long ago, these were commonly sold for $14.99. For some very strange reason unknown to me, along with the soaring prices of the Rizzuto Estileto Milano, I've seen these 2.75" keychain stilettos fetch up to $200 on "The Bay". Both the Rizzy and keychain phenomenon prices seem to ...

Re: Any help on what this is?

Looms like the newest and mostly cheaply made model. A picture of the backspring would tell me more. Worth about $35.

JimBrown257 wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2019 12:44 am Why is it on those ones, when the button has fallen off, there is no trace of solder on the base of the rocker?
A lot of early post war Coricama knives seem like they are missing the safety caps. ( like those engraved Edwin Jays and engraved Latamas).

The maker from the 30s thru the 1960?? That’s not true. Elio DiBin passed away probably 50 years ago. It wasn’t Elio.

It was Oreste DiBon. My friend Lucio DiBon was good friends with Oreste who passed away about 5 years ago.

Re: Info about my 6" swinguard (transitional)?

Not very old. I think many of these were put together in the early 2000s. And also in stag. Someone will probably know who the man was who put them together.

Re: 7" B Svobody Picklock

I have a few B Svoboda picklocks, but this is my first B Svobody. I have read Svobody was the European spelling of Svoboda and both spellings imported by Ring Cutlery of California. I wasn't the best in Geography, but isn't Italy part of Europe? So, why the different spellings? https://i.imgur.com/...
