The knife in "M'" is a Henckel leverlock. Henckel was not a knifemaker but a vendor of all kind of things. I have been told so Correct me if I am wrong.

but it's true take a look at the 3K website. All the similar knives are advertised as SKM exept for the faux ivory which is advertised as AKC. They must have been mistaken. They are mistakenly advertised as AKC. It's a SKM made knife. and of very good quality.

responding to emails is not one of their virtues as I mailed them several times for more details on a vintage knife in their antique section. On the other hand; I'm in the EU and they deliver fast. Unfortunately....other than Scandinavia and The Netherlands, English is not mandatory in the other EU ...

from my opinion it seems to occur mostly with natural scales. When they came out of the injection molding machine (acrylic scales) the quality seems to be much better. The SKM knives I got from 3k lately, are stamped " made in Italy" and don't have any major flaws.
