The pins that came out of the knife were steel, to I would like to put steel back in. I ll try Bill's advice of filing some down in the drill.
I did find an aray of some small bar stock on amazon, steel/alum/brass for $13. Prolly order that up!!

Doing scales on my own
Covid Christmas so I decided to spend some time on new scales for the Mexican switchblade. Old scales were held together with some type of epoxy that was all over the knife bolsters. The old scales were damaged and disintegrating. Using buffalo horn, got them scaled down, drilled for pins and button...

Hi all, I bought this knife knowing it was a project. It has been ridden hard and put away wet several times!! Hi all, my first post, thanks for having me. I picked this up at a flea market because it was cool. Other than Philippines being stamped in the pocket clip, I have not observed any other markings. Anyone have information on this? Age, value, were these common in the U.S.? Thanks for any and all help...
