Re: 12.5” Chinese Tactical Black Stiletto

There are 13" Italian stilettos. Many aren't particularly expensive. You would be much better off buying an Italian knife. I think I’m just going to sell or trade this one and not even bother with customizing it. I do like to do custom work on cheaper knives just as something fun to do. Helps give ...

12.5” Chinese Tactical Black Stiletto

SwordsSwords.com lists this as the Missouri Monarch XL Stiletto. The total length is 12.5”. Are there any genuine Italian stilettos that were that length? Or were there any that were exactly 12” total? Feel like I’ve seen them before, but they’re rare. I’ve been thinking about customizing this one. ...

Re: How do you display your collection.

I can’t really display my collection for the most part. My pocket knives, autos, balisongs, etc. are mostly stored in plastic clothing drawers from WalMart. That includes one big three drawer piece with most of my boxed knives and some random fixed blades in stashed in the top, with the bulk of my a...

Re: New Chinese Swinguard Leverlocks

Hmmmph. And a nail nick. I would guess that they must use the same blades in non autos as well, I mean why would there be a nail knick? I would sort of like to see one in person but seriously doubt that I will ever own one. I feel like they put the nail nick on these things as a back-up for people ...

New Chinese Swinguard Leverlocks

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jCUDW4nBzL0 Has anybody seen these yet? I just got one. It’s pretty nice. Similar quality to those AKC Massaro knockoffs. They’re modeled after the Hubertus Guardian. They’re similar to that Guardian clone with the faux stag, file work and fake Hubertus markings, but th...

Re: Can anyone ID this bayonet for me?

Okay, did a little digging and it appears this is a Spanish Toledo bayonet. This particular model was used in WWII. Don’t know if this is an original or a replica. It looks and feels like the real thing. And yes, they all have that curve in the blade so it’s not a botched sharpening job.

Can anyone ID this bayonet for me?

Picked this up for about $30 at an antique shop. If any of you could ID the markings for me, I’d appreciate it. Looks like someone tried to sharpen the blade and gave it a bit of a banana curve.

That OTF trapdoor was in The Cross and the Switchblade if I’m not mistaken.

Re: A curved Italian style switchblade?

Whoever thought these were a good idea was freakin high. The Roma swinguards actually aren’t that bad. Like how they incorporate both Russian and Italian styles. But these? Sorry, they’re just ugly.

That’s right, it had a slip in spring so it wasn’t even an Italian one. Probably Taiwan or China.

German market stiletto restoration

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m6DYsnBzBxo This one is interesting. The front and back scales are different. The button is weird too. I’m guessing the original button broke and that’s just a replacement button. That could explain the peaking and why there’s a different scale with no safety. Looks goo...
