Re: AK knife?

The AK knives have probably the most interesting and unique mechanism among automatics. But their blades have mostly very bad grind and according to my impression they are not even hardened which also shores up the prison-made-thesis. Another weakness of those knives is their locking mechanism which...

Re: Movie Switchblades

Watched "White Irish Drinkers" (2010) last night. OTF switch is used in the middle of the movie when two buddies start beefing. Then at the end of the movie, the older Leary brother gets the wrong end of it. Good photos of the knife in the final scene - not a Microtech that I could tell. It seems to...

Re: HIGHEND Mikov auto - first prototype

Just amazing! I absolutly like mikov knives, even the hunting folders.
Mikov leverlock combines very basic elements in one more than any other leverlock. They are simple, elegant, durable and affordable!

Re: Magicians Balisong

The typ of balisong which he uses in the video is made by the cutlery Nieto in Spain. Nieto offers it in great variaty of handle inlays. Zamak liners/bolsters. They are quite cheap, but still better than chinese made ones. Medium quality in my opinion.

Re: Movie Switchblades

If someone into the movie props there is a walking stick with single action OTF blade in The Game of Death (1978). Terrible movie but cool walking stick.

"Somebody Up There Likes Me" (1956) Probably an othello gravity. Steve Mc Queen is only in one of the first scene to see with the knife.
