In Great Expectations (1998) is the charakter played by Robert De Niro assassinated in ny subway with a 11" stag handle stiletto, probably a vintage one - notice the the pins on the scale.

Re: James Dean's switchblade from Rebel Without a Cause

A very interesting fact about this knife is that James Dean (James 'Jim' Stark) is neither the owner nor the one who carries the knife in the movie. Some other guy throws it him over, while the gang leader forces him to use it.

Very interesting, because this movie was has been made 1924! I've never though that this model could be that old.

I believe your knife is - just like the stamps with print mistakes - very unique and extremly valuable.

Re: bazar banger

Very cool knife and interesting story. This two are earlier and modern versions of the same idea, the first one is an automatic, the second one looks like an automatic. Pictures are from a museum.

Alain Delon uses in Le Gitan (1974) a very large folding pig sticker. I tough first it is an automatic, unfortunalty it isn't but still very impressiv knife.

In the low-budget movie Zodiac Killer (1971) - directed by Tom Hanson- uses the killer a horn handle picklock stiletto.
