Re: A new Maniago
The guards on the M//T are for show only. They are useless as guards. ...But am I correct about how they go back in the blade? Like there's a little extra room on each side on the shaft the blade goes in, and when the blade goes in the guards get pulled in like a kleenex being pulled back into the ...

Re: A new Maniago
You then close the trap door on the tip of the blade and push it down into a locked position, ready to fire again ...That seems like it would be hard on the tip of the blade. Is there a little triangular indentation in the bottom of the trapdoor that the tip fits into to reduce the wearing down of ...

Re: If you were going to spend ~$85...
It's a "trusted seller" with over a hundred sales and 100% feedback so I'm not too worried about that. The reason I can't get ahold of him is that there is no "contact seller" link (or, if there is, I can't find it).

Re: Movie Switchblades
Also, in the movies Gunfight at the OK Corral (1957) which takes place in 1881 and The Magnificent Seven (1960) which takes place around the same time, characters have Italian-style stilettos. Is this historically accurate; was that style of automatic knife around at that time?

Re: Movie Switchblades
I have a few additions to the movie list: 1) In The Cut (2003): Mark Ruffalo has (if I remember correctly) a leverletto. 2) Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity (1987): From Wikipedia: "A Cinemax "film that transports “The Most Dangerous Game” to an alien world and populates it with bikini-clad space pr...

However I do not want to cut our friend David (Tanto) out of the picture so I say buy both. ...I would but I've bought several knives in the last few weeks; getting too many knives at once doesn't give you time to appreciate each one individually. The Mikov will definitely be my next purchase thoug...

Re: A new Maniago
An otf with retractable swing guards like the Microtech Masterpiece ...Can someone find me a picture or link to this knife? I searched for it but nothing came up. Is the name actually "Masterpiece" or are you just calling one of their new blades a 'masterpiece'?? Also, what's the deal with the leve...

If you were going to spend ~$85...
I am trying to decide between these two knives. After shipping, they would both be around $85. I was just about to order the Mikov off the Tanto site but then I saw the Medici (it's 7.25") on one of the auction sites. Keep in mind I have neither kind in my collection currently so they would both be ...
