Re: Carrying a push button stilleto
Bernie, you really ought to post a complete album of your collection, I bet you've amassed an incredible display over the however many decades you've been wheeling and dealing :D Funny story about the leverlettos, I gave one to a guy in my workplace and he had a similar issue with the bolsters - the...

Re: Carrying a push button stilleto
Most real Italian stilettos these days have pretty good working safety, but it's all for naught if you're carrying in your back pocket - the safety is just a piece of metal that slides under the button to prevent its depression; if you sit on that not only will you ruin the safety but you probably w...

Re: Russian auto knife makers
l just realized how stereotypical it was for me to associate " Mikov" with a Russian name :p Don't be too hard on yourself; Czechoslovakia (Now Czech Republic, and Slovakia, respectively) was part of the Eastern Bloc, all under Russian control for most of the 20th century. From what I understand, s...

Chris, I didn't know you could list switchblades on e-bay I thought they were banned? I myself, listed them as leverlocks, but I see many listings directly saying switchblade. I'm not exactly sure how the sellers get past the rules. in my experience, the epic shortage of legit auto knives on ebay m...

Re: Any input on the New Buck 110 Autos?
T'was a cool story, Lance... growing up in a liberal family in arguably the most liberal state in the country, the most I ever could expect was a Victorinox for x-mas, not that there's anything wrong with those, but... you know... any regular on this forum has an obsession that cannot be sated even ...

Re: How does F. Beltrame now mark his knives
There's been quite a bit of deviation over the years but over the last 15 or so, all of Frank's Classic and Switch lines and most of his swing guards bear the stamp "FRANK B ITALY" on the tang, generally stamped pretty lightly. This is of course with the exception of contract knives he made for Kiss...

prepare to fix more than the spring if you're talking about the one on talkblade... that snakewood has a 97.46% chance of cracking when you pull those pins out..sammy the blade wrote:unless you plan on fixing one.

Re: Query on vintage switchback stiletto knife
It most likely won't hold. Even modern stilettos have pretty soft steel... will make a dandy letter opener but knife overall won't stand up to hard use. Depending on how old it is you could get a decent amount for it, although I'm not sure how much you paid to get it in the first place. Sounds like ...
