you can test the front bolster 'ears' w/ a magnet,if it sticks firmly it's likely steel

ANYBODY ever notice that many of the dark horn 7 or 8 inch regular style 60's swingers on the market have degraded horn by the rear bolsters? iguess they started showing up bout 6 to 8 yrs ago
