Re: 1970s R Zafrilla Inox made in Spain

That is an interesting piece of switchblade history, thanks for sharing. I wish I had some insight into its history. Jim Jim, I can't find much info on Zafrilla switchblades. A google search turns up hits on fixed hunting blades and pocket knives, but little on switchblades. It is almost identical ...

Re: Grandpa Campolin

I am only a newbie but I also wish to extend my condolences to this great man's family. The knives out of Italy are timeless classics and Angelo Sr's contributions will live on for many generations to come. I'm sure his legacy will be carried on by current and future generations of Campolins'. If he...

Why do you favor automatics over other knives?

I dunno, this may sound like a stupid question. If you prefer switchblades, why do you favor autos over other knives? Personally I've favored automatics because I appreciate technology and things mechanical. I also dig the cool snap. On a more practical note, in my later years arthritis has set in m...

1970s R Zafrilla Inox made in Spain

This is a 1970s R Zafrilla Inox auto side opener, made in Spain. It was stored for over 30 years closed but snapped open like the day it was bought! Strong spring. Scales are hard plastic, but very durable. It looks much like the French Florinox from the same time period. 3" mirror blade, plain. A s...

I "need" an Ultratech

I decided I need a Microtech Ultratech. I mean, I just don't want an Ultratech..I need an Ultratech!'' Why didn't you guys warn me this knife collecting business would be so addictive...!!! I've been pricing them around $225 shipped. I'd prefer a plain edge with a satin or stonewash finish. ...

I heard some good things about Cerflon. I think Smith & Wesson makes a decent gun oil with Cerflon in it, which I can also use on my guns. A little dab will do ya.

Hey Eric, I tried to upload an attachment pic of the Zafrilla but this site said the file size was too big: Max size 500 KiB. Does anyone know how to reduce the file size of a pic? Thanks, AM

What knife oil would you recommend for auto's?

What knife oil would you recommend for auto's? I know too much oil may attract dust. How much should one apply? I've also heard Zippo lighter fluid may be used to clean a dirty knife . I know a proper knife oil is way better than WD-40 which is a more of a water displacer/lubricant. What are your th...

Re: Cupid clones

I have a Joker's Wild from Bladeops. It's made in Taiwan and for $29 is a decent Cupid copy. Double serrated but the non-serrated blade as used in the movie was hard to find. Japanese 440. Strong spring and fast single action. You may need a little Loctite but it's a fair clone for the money. Good b...

Re: Forum newbie introduction

Welcome and you certainly came to the right place to be around others that share your passion for push button knives. I hear you, Viking. Some springs assisted knives are great, too. I like spring assist too and own a couple, but why go to the trouble when a button can do it, especially in this day...

Forum newbie introduction

Hello all, After visiting this great forum I decided to join! This is my first knife forum and first post on this forum. Since I was a child I have always been fascinated with automatic knives. As a little boy (about 10 years old) my grandfather gave me a small white pearlex side opening auto (not a...
