Yeah, this new 4" isn't good for many shots before it will go to crap. The sear's also going to eat away at the pot metal in no time and the blade will peek. That's why it's just going into a case. Just fun to look at is about all.

Thanks Rob for letting me post, didn't mean to hijack your thread. I got up in the attic from hell and found the wood and will cut some little planks from it. It's definately cured out.

I got my mini kit in and must say that although I'm not totally impressed, it's better than I expected for punch and crunch, pour and plate. You can't just slam these together right out of the package because of ill fitting parts which all add up to what Jim says above. You'll find different thickne...

I know these are classic mini switches and are rare and very cool but was wondering about the SKM mini kits and if they're worth the cost. I was thinging about buying one and doing some mods. My wild favs in order are dove, quail, chukar and pheasant. Chukar hunt has to be arranged by a hatchery, only been once...very tasty. I am from Missouri so most of our pheasant hunting is on private land. I have never been pheasant hunting but they say they are darn good eating. We have lots of do...
