The black one was purchased in Spain in 1988, The stag one (faux) is a recent gift to me from a former collegae. The scale was broken and it didn't lock. But now it does

No Mike, I ment I never saw that knife in real life here, although there were a lot of Spanish knives around here in the 70's and 80's.

Yeah, that's the holy grail in Spanish Stiletto's.....If we ever can get one of those. Btw. Never saw one of those Hellraisers here in Europe.

My Frank B. 11" swinguard is a real good snapper. My son ownes 2 vintage spanish coilspring stiletto's and they are realy, realy fast.

History of the swingguard knife?
Can anyone tell me some more about the history of the swingguard switchblade. The only swingguards I see in movies seem to be rizzuto's. Did they not manufacture Swingguards in Italy until the 60's? Because in the older movies they all seemed to be fixedguard Italian style stiletto's.
