jorvic, Sorry about the late reply, but I've been out of commission again with my back. Yes I am a machinist/toolmaker, since 1971. I am a full time maker (when I'm able). In my shop I have a Smithy combo mill/lathe, a small 9X20 engine lathe, a 6X12 surface grinder, a Sears 6X48 belt grinder, a sma...

I just got back from the Parker show in Pidgeon Forge and I'm beat.

Thank you,

Diggaway, The button only works for opening the knife. If you will notice, there is more than 180 degrees in the arc. This holds the button down while open so that all you have to contend with is the liner-lock to close it. It is cleared for the button in the normally open positon, for assembly purp...

Thanks Tom. It will probably end up as a Chinese knockoff but I don't really care. Then maybe I could afford to carry one myself. Ha-Ha!!! :D

I have the holes in there so I can adjust the tension on the spring. Also after the knife has been cycled a lot, sometimes it will slow down. The extra holes allow the knife to be adjusted back up to speed. Just those few degrees of tension will make a big difference in the opening speed of the blad...

Thanks for the great comments, I was hopeing you folks would like it and it seems that you do.

Hey Bill, what's wrong with plunge locks? Actually, the Centauri Prime is a combination of plunge lock (opening only) and a liner-lock. It works out pretty good.
