The Original Bowie Knife

Does anyone have an up-to-date e-mail address for Mr. J. ( Jack ) R. Edmondson ? He moved about a year ago. When I spoke with him then, he was finishing up a new book on Mr James Bowie. It was to include everything that he had been able to learn conserning the man and his knife. For anyone intereste...

WAYA -- Lost and Found ?

I have been sending e-mails to Waya lately, but with out receiving a reply. Have business with him, to do. Does anyone have a means of speaking with him directly? If so PM me. Am not asking anyone to betray a confidence. Check with him first, if you like. Thank you. Take care. Bigfifty.

Intruder !

A good thing to do is to check your local and state laws, as to their attitude about the use of leathal force; before you may need to do so. Which is one of the main reasons for living out hear in the Rockies. Neither the city, nor state will bring criminal or cival suite charges for leathal self de...

Summer carry

My advice, for what it is worth, is rather conservative. That is to carry one of the 5 or 6 shot snub-nosed revolvers which will handle .38 +P . One of the new ones from S&W in titanium are very light, for all day wear. If you prefer a semi-auto then a Walther PPK is a good one. Carry in the 'crotch...

English And Such

I know my spelling is poor, but make up for it by my excellent use of the comma ( and no there is not a world shortage of the little dears ). Oh, well, ...

Grits And 'War Crimes'

Grits are a 'cultural' thing that if you grew up eating them, then they fall into the 'comfort' or at least comfortable food catagory. And some foods are kind of neat-to-eat that don't exhibit much flavour. You can change their taste to suit your taste on different days. A word on Hussein.....He get...

Granny

I love the fact that she did not kill them outright. Personally I like the idea of those two getting to wake up the next morning, and for the rest of their lives, and remember what happened to them. First read this story at--- http://www.jamesakeating.com A very interesting web-site of much off-beat...

Westerns

Hard to pick just one, so I will name a few:- "Unforgiven"; "Quigley Down Under" ( with its great co-star Sharps Rifle ); "True Grit"; "The Shootist"; "Lonesome Dove". Could go on longer, but that will do for starts. Wish someone would do a film about the Battle Of Adobe Walls. Tom Selick is getting...
