Re: AKC Roma - Clarification of Origin
The last few years, there's been some very competitively priced knives coming out of Maniago. Items where an American made equivalent would likely cost a lot more. Labour isn't thatr chaapn in Italy???? So it makes me consider two possibilities: 1) American made knives have a large mark up. 2) Some ...

Re: AKC Roma - Clarification of Origin
Angelo attented a knife show i was at last Autumn. i had expected him to turn up with a decent amount of items, and maybe even have some things on offer that would be considered a rarity. He had one of smallest tables at the exhibition, maybe a dozen small malteese style models, some of the Taiwanes...

Re: AKC Roma - Clarification of Origin
The reply from was from Knifeshop /3 knives email address. So i would presume Tanja is someone who works there.
I would agree that this doesn't really add up however.

Re: AKC Roma - Clarification of Origin
To clarify: AKC *IS* a brand associated with / owned by the Campolin family? Correct? Welk, The onlne store at AKC.iT redirects me to 3knives / knifeshop.com., Which as i understand is something Angelo Campolin is involved in. So i contacted their email adresss for clarificaiton, and that's what i g...

AKC Roma - Clarification of Origin
I contacted Knifeshop (ie: AKC.IT) directly in an attempt to clarify what it actually is, and where it's actially from, and got the below. The knife is correct but they made the wrong description, this is a new brand from AKC which is called AKC World and will be with us shortly. Kind regards, Tanja

Re: Unusual “Super Automatic” stamped OTF
Looks a lot like one of those "Onyx" OTFs albeit with different branding, and a lot of blade loss.

Re: PVK Vegas Review
Note that PVK are still marketing the AKC-Clone Roma Swinguard as Italian. Even if they somehow actually mistook it for the real thing, someone must have said something to them by now? I've been in and out of this 'Hobby' for the last 20 years or so, and PVK have always been just a bit ?????? The on...

Re: Kershaw 7500
The button spring is likely tiny
This model is quite tightly sprung iirc
Would suggest maybe opening it in q bqg

Re: CHRONOLOGICAL LIST of switchblades in movies
The switchblades in (1984) The Terminator are 1960’s R. Zafrilla black swedge switchblades made in Spain That is one that's bugged me for years. Is that the same company which made the "Hellraiser" Swinguard, and the fix guard version? I googled the name, saw a manual knife with similar detail in t...

Seems Cobratec have been chosen to make the OTF version of the Burnley Kwaiken.
Just a bit ironic?

Re: Indiana 9" Swinguards
Josh is still involved in PVK. PVK are still hit and miss. Some will defend him and the business tooth and nail. If you do buy from this company proceed with caution. When was your last order? I don't know the history people have had with PVK, but I can say my orders went through without a problem....
