Re: MTech Twist
I'm in the market for a new bali myself. From the looks of those prices I would guess you purchased from Bladeplay, right? I'm considering a Jaguar Classic because I've heard they are good, and my question is whether or not the Jaguar they sell on that site is actually the original Jaguar or a chea...

MTech Twist
As I mentioned in my intro post, I re-discovered balisongs a couple of weeks ago after finding a couple of old balis I bought back in the '80s. Last week, I bought a BM 51 and fell in love with it. So much so, that I decided to add to my knife collection a couple of cheaper balis to practice with be...

Oops, make that today. Amazing how the USPS can deliver a 2-day package overnight, and by 11:00am, as well. Wow, I've never had a balisong this well-balanced and smooth. The company was so cool, they included a Spyderco Baliyo with no extra charge!

Re: 1990s Spiderco Police model
Yes, I was mentioning the Civilian version's MSRP, and NOT the Undercover Police version, which this one is. This version is far rarer than the Civilian version and hasn't been available for quite some time. In fact, I don't believe it was ever available to the public until the Undercover version wa...

Hi, I'm James from SoFL not far from Ft. Laud. I stumbled upon this forum after digging out an old balisong I've had for decades. I was looking for flipping/twirling info and found TB. It looks like a great group, thanks for letting me post.

1990s Spiderco Police model
I bought this one at a gun & knife show back in the '90s. Spyderco still makes a civilian version, but it is a little different. The blade is 4 1/8" and the overall length is 9 3/16". This one also has the neoprene inserts on the one side and the clip, which the civilian model does not. I have no id...

Re: Everyone's first Balisong?
My first was the Manila Folder in the photo. I got it back in the '80s, probably at a gun & knife show. After slitting a knuckle and gashing a foot, I put it away until a couple days ago. My interest is re-kindled and I'll be spending some time trying not to lose any digits with a 41 Morpho. Manila ...

Re: Recently acquired Manila Folder Bali!
Funny thing, I bought a Manila Folder back in the early '80s but lost interest. I recently regained an interest and dug it out along with the little Silver Dragon I had bought around the same time. What I remember most about the Manila was giving myself a deep cut on mu index knuckle, and a deep gas...
