It is one of the more desirable versions. Unfortunately, the blade tip is broken, and there appears to be a problem with it locking open. This will greatly affect value.
INOX is not a maker. It simply means "stainless.

That's a high quality knife, and they are rare.
B&S (Bonsa) was a pioneer in one hand-opening knives.
I'm sure yours is quite old, as I have never seen the butterfly knives cataloged.

Notice the white one is crudely stamped "Maniago."

Re: Boker improved cutlery
I believe the "Import" marked knives originally went to England or Canada. Other counties may have required the "import" or "foreign" marking.

Re: Boker improved cutlery
Just buy knives you like, at prices that appeal to you. This makes it simple. In a practical sense, what difference does it make if a knife is "rare?" That said, Massaro has built knives for a whole lot of companies- Klaas used their lever locks in their later days of existence. Many of the "German"...

Re: Boker improved cutlery
It's possible that Boker contracted the knife-possibly after they discontinued the 712/713 series.
It's the first one I have seen.

I don't care what markings it has, it's a fairly modern Massaro made leverlock from Italy.

Made in Maniago by Massaro.
If the knife springs open correctly (automatically,) it has been repaired. The grinding on the blade indicates that the spring was, or is, broken.

Re: 13" Latama
I'm the guy that does it. It's done by hand-IF there is enough blade left for it to be done. It's expensive, and I'm not doing it right now. Replacing vintage blades is not an option.
There may be others that can do it, but none that I can recommend, as I have not seen their work.

It's a modern 13. There is no nickel silver on it. The liners are brass and the bolsters are steel.
