I only have two latamas in my collection, but this one stands out to me. It is 9 inches overall and in wonderful condition. What knocks me out about this knife is the gorgeous scales. They match on each side and are in perfect shape. Just wanted to share one of my faves!

I bought four switchblades, all different. I still have three of them. someone stole a 13 inch stag horn from me in college. The others are a stag 9 inch, an 11 inch BO/BC.
How I got them back home is a whole other story for another time.

that's why I remember the $7 purchase price so fondly!

My bucket list includes a trip to Maniago. At some point I need to know where to go there and what can be seen/experienced.

As I understand it, switchblades are now illegal in Italy, with some exceptions. what a shame!

what does "GESCHMIEDET" on tang stamp mean?

Thanks for that info which clarifies a lot. From what you said, mine looks to be a MC-1. Tang stamp is Schrade Walden, NY USA, stainless.

gravknife, great info! On closer look the bird stamp has a "5". There is a "3" stamped on the latch.

gravknife, I had not even noticed the bird on the marlin spike! Thanks for pointing that out. I does seem to have a number in it but I can't make it out. What is the significance of the number?
