Nice “Rizzuto” for trade or sale consideration

The bayonet blade tip sits right at liner. The blade has been sharpened, but in great shape, overall. The knife lacks typical “Rizzuto stamping” and is only marked “stainless steel”. It fires hard and locks up properly. The safety functions well. There is a crack at the safety slot and backspring pi...

Edgemaster switchblade question

I’m curious about attempting a restoration/repair. Do Edgemaster switchblades use a pivot bushing like the ones found on similar (Imperial, Hammer Brand, Shur Snap, Presto) antique American automatics? Thanks!

Here is another “well-used” example of Japanese origin.

Re: Some of my favorite autos

Yep. I also like the old shell wrapped Imperials and Hammer Brands. I’ve gotten better at making and replacing broken springs. (Like Bill DeShivs has mentioned, the tabs on the handles have to be bent carefully, and not too many times, or they will break.)

Re: Couple more Americans repaired

Thanks for the reply. I also have made a few springs by reheating, shaping and tempering, often with mixed results.

Thanks.

Re: Some of my favorite autos

Thanks for the positive comments! I bought what I could afford at the time from EdgeCo.
I think I “fixed” the other link so it can be viewed. There are a couple of EdgeCo autos there also.

Re: GOM Switchblade Lever Knives

Mario, About 6 years ago, I bought a “Massaro shell puller kit” with a Damascus blade from the now-defunct switchblade kits website. It was sold in parts with no pins. Mine went together well. I used only pins and I attached jigged mesquite scales made from some scrap that my late father had. I, of ...

Blue Super Automatic

SOLD I’m asking $110 shipped, for this blue Super Automatic. It seems to be a less common color. It is the older “pinned bolster” variety. (I really don’t collect OTFs. ). I would also consider trading for American, Italian, Or German switchblades in need of repair or for parts. It works perfectly, ...
