Re: Maniago shops

.... I'm sorry for my supporters / customers and loyal friends, in the light of all these insults and slanders I don't want to be part of this community anymore and so I leave the forum. I thought it was a place to exchange experiences and advice on snap knives that are my passion / job, but I see t...

Re: Honey Horn vs. French Tip?

I just picked up my first example of the new design of standard stiletto with the oval hole, which I admit is growing on me, if only a little. Figured I'd share it as I believe the scales are relevant here, although 3knives called it "French Bovine Horn" - I <think> its criteria fits with French Ti...

DSCN5370.JPG DSCN5371.JPG What is this horn? Hi Jackalope, even if they are not my knives I would like to tell you that they are horn point. But as I said before, they are the slightly lower part or the animal had not yet developed the reddish streaks. Ivano For example, the RAM horn only the part ...

..... I remember them are the first 5mm latama productions 👍
Beautiful and high quality knives. Thank you for your contributions to the hobby.

Re: Honey Horn vs. French Tip?

I have a question about horns used in the Italian stiletto handles. I've gotten to where I can tell the difference between Buffalo and Brazilian dark horn. But I'm not seeing the distinction between the blondes "Honey Horn" and "French Tip". Latama site currently has one of each for sale under half...

Re: Heads up swingguard collectors

Walter has chosen 2 exclusive blade designs that I designed for him only for the Latama brand. You will not find these 2 types of design in my production. They were made specifically so that many would not come up with the idea: why buy Latama when I find the same blades on the Frank b. However the...

Re: Heads up swingguard collectors

Ivano, while I do not quite agree with Walt's prices, I cannot imagine that anyone could rightfully blame you or Frank, and it doesn't seem like anybody has. You do your jobs as makers and export them and that is that. Walt is the retailer and handles things as he sees fit, even if some people disa...

Re: Heads up swingguard collectors

Good day everyone. It's always me Ivano Beltrame, as usual I wanted to spend a few words and explain to those who feel so expert in knives and not very expert. The 5mm Walts are very different from the swinguards I normally make. Those who are passionate and "expert" will have noticed that all 4 1mm...

Re: Honey Horn vs. French Tip?

As for walts I can't tell you much, try to contact him. It has amazing 5mm swinguards Ciao Ivano! Can I ask: Who is Giovanni Beltrame? A lot of new production I've seen claim to be made by him using the Made In Italy marking. Sorry to intrude on the horn thread. Sorry, I'm just talking about my pro...
