Re: Z McCarty, Chris English Ivory auto

I love the look of aged ivory. When I was a kid my father gave me an ivory cue ball that his father had given to him when he was young.

In later years my father told me how it arrived in the family.

My grandfather was in a pool hall when fights broke out and he picked up the cue ball in case ...

Re: 11" rosewood

I've seen many through the years and they always tell you how well they're taken care of...if those brass bolsters are nice and shiny!!

Honestly, they're like the prototypical modern age stiletto. I would love to know how many were produced versus other variations.

Thanks JV. I'll keep posting as I noticed with you guys posting it gets TB traffic up a bit. Site is kinda slow these days.

Just like naked ladies, I could look at knife pics all day! :P

BTW, over the last year, I've picked up a Don, a Godfather and a Godson. I rarely buy non-Italian autos ...

Absolutely love it! I saw one of these in tortoise and it stopped my heart! But regardless the scales, it's easy to tell that they're first class from top to bottom!!

And that engraving is definite next level work! Magnificent!!

Re: Another Frank B 11" swinger

That's a keeper for sure!!

I love seeing the more unique scales on Frank B knives, and yours is an older one too!!

I bought a pair that crossed the Atlantic a couple years back specifically because of their scales.

One is a Spalted Yellow Birch (I think that's right) and the other is Mammoth Bark ...

Nice! It's a shame it ran into issues. Being stamped A.G.A. Campolin, it can't be too old either.

If my eyes are right, and they often aren't, I think it's stamped 2019 but upon first look I did think it was 2016, and then 2017, but I finally settled on 2019. :P

It's rare their little ...

Re: Leverettos

All four of those have SWEET looking scales but that last one has absolutely killer grains! They're such fun little knives, and as was pointed out, they can be put to actual work!

I've managed to round up a handful of Leverletto knifes, one is even a U.S. Leverletto custom hand-rolled by Bill ...

Same here. Been looking forever. I've seen far lesser ones go for huge numbers and have been tempted but I always figured if I'm going to lay out some cash then I might as well hold off for a really nice one like the one above. Alas, they ...

Those old flat twin BMW bikes were cool. I always wondered if they were a problem going into heavy lean corners but everyone I ever talked to who had ridden one said not at all!
