Super rare Bird’s Head Rizzuto up for auction on Sharper Deals

Just figured I’d give you guys the heads up. I know there are few Rizzuto collectors out there. “BIGDOGKIRK” is selling this one and it’s already at $450 with the reserve not yet met!

Here’s a video of one from 10 years ago from “doorman306” on YouTube: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=olt881EkLwc

Tom19176 wrote: Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:59 am Thanks for the detailed info Jerry !! I agree with your time line. The first ones were all made by Bell Metal in Korea. Later on they were made by different makers and countries.

I am sure these are made by the MAGA maker too......
I think some of the later models were made in Taiwan.

The NATO OTF is back?

Check out what I found on Grindworx. https://www.grindworx.com/item--NATO-OTF-Black-Silver-Bayonet-Knife--37388 Seems someone decided to bring back the NATO Military OTF! I like the look of this. Very close to the originals, but upgraded with modern hardware. The switch looks a little like the ones ...

Frosolone is a city in Italy. Cutlery is made there.
Thanks Bill! Your knowledge and expertise is always appreciated!

Questions about the AGA Frosolone

I always thought the AGA Campolin Frosolone was an interesting looking knife. Was it intended to be opened in a reverse grip of sorts? Looking at the placement of the button, I was wondering if that was the intent of the design. It must have a really long button rocker! Where does the name “Frosolon...

Had no idea they did these. Anybody have one? How is it? Looks like the button protrudes a bit on these. Seems like these kind would need a safety unlike the standard ones where the button is more recessed.

Re: Vintage lockbacks -- #1 of 3

These are very cool! I asked about the Frank B humpbacks not that long ago. Cool to see the inner workings on these rare coil spring fired stilettos!

That’s a mistake. I think they’re both swivel bolsters.

Thanks Tom. I stand corrected. I’ve never seen these for sale anywhere stateside. Grindworx has the Boker Magnum Italian Classic but that’s a spring assist and not an auto.

Boker Magnum Sicilian Needle

Have any of you seen these? They’re smaller Italian style stilettos that I think were made for the German market. They appear to be about 7 inches total in length if I’m not mistaken. Wanted to know if any of you had these. I think they were made in either China or Taiwan like most of the Magnum lin...
