Re: Latama collection

I've looked at both the small kriss (#8 from L) and the large kriss (#6 from R) with a magnifying glass, and I don't see any red dots.....

Great group! Are all the scales horn? What about #4 and #7 (from the left) -- are those scales black plastic, or dark horn, or what? Thanks ~

Re: Switchblade Collecting

In 1972 some kids in my high school class went on a school-arranged trip to Spain during Spring Break. Customs and inspections and searches were a joke compared to today, and just about all of the boys came back with beautiful switchblades.... I was green with envy. I clearly remember looking at one...

alphabetized list of Switchblades in Films

Most of us have seen the list of switchblades in movies..... but I've never seen one in alphabetical order; the list is a jumble in which it can be difficult to find a specific film. I have alphabetized the list, and added "Epicenter" and "This Gun For Hire". I have also added small notations to a c...

Re: "The Toy That Kills" article - 1950

This reminds me of an article I read some years ago that lists the top three concerns of teachers back in the 1950s -- I might be a little off on the specifics, but it was something along the lines of "Running in hallways; chewing gum; talking in class". Compare this quaint relic of history to today...

mike ~ what is the knife, exactly? It's been ages since I've seen the movie and I don't remember the knife.....

Re: Recent Fulcrum Release

Quality isn't the best imo, but probably worth the 40 bucks, or whatever, they cost. I'm not sure but the button always looked plastic to me. I never scratched it or tried to put a magnet on it to test but I just didn't like the look. They were a little different so I wanted to check them out, but ...

Re: Recent Fulcrum Release

I recently obtained several of the Walther SOK 2 knives, which also have an external lever/fulcrum release. I would be interested to see any other odd release systems that others have encountered...! I have been looking to buy one of these. How is the quality? The fit and finish seem very good. The...

Does anyone know when these were made? From the chromed bolsters and general style, my guess would be maybe 1980s....???

Re: I SCORED a Dalton Mini Millennium OTF!!!

Keep your eyes open for a carrying case for eyeglasses..... check every store you enter; different stores often have different suppliers. I also keep my eyes peeled at the flea markets and yard sales. These cases are often the perfect size for a medium-to-small knife, and are especially suited to th...
