The inserts on the one I just received are "pho stone" i did some internet research. It seems that pho stone is a mix of stone particles and resin. It reminds me of my quartz countertops which are a mix of ground quartz and resin. Since I found the information on the internet it has to be correct ...

Thanks Frank. Perhaps the appeal of the "mafia" models to us is that we also collect Italian stilettos, and these models are along the same styling themes. The other Pro-Tech models look are all very modern looking. I do have one other Pro-Tech / AIK Don example shown below.

One nice thing about ...

Just got this one in. The button is a Pro-Tech mosaic button, not a custom AIK. The firework and inserts were done by AIK. I don't really collect much in the area of modern switchblades except for the Pro-Tech mafia themed models (Godfather, Godson, Don, Large Don), which I like.
