Re: Vintage Swedish Emil Olssen pocketknife
There are some well made expensive knives coming out of China now that aren't copy's. Just saying but basically I feel the same way about China as you. I understand what you mean and the Chinese can make good things too. They have some military bayonets which are interesting and good. That they ste...

Re: Vintage Swedish Emil Olssen pocketknife
Nice! As you wrote: "one of over 100 cutlery companies in Eskilstuna at the turn of the century." About 10 years ago the last company was sold and and now the they produce knives in China... So many companies all over the world have moved their production to China and that is so very sad because Cov...

Re: Cold Steel Master Tanto San Mai
Thank you very much for your nice words! I really appreciate it! U.S.A, Japan, South Africa, China, India, Italy and Taiwan are countries where Cold Steel have got production. They say that Taiwan make nice blades but I haven´t hold a blade from there in my hand yet so I do not know by own experienc...

Re: Hackman Balisong
I understand... No problems at all...
I would like to have a Garcia myself so I could compare the two... Anyway friends of mine have told me to not buy it if it is not cheap because I will be disappointed... Well, we will see...

Re: Hackman Balisong
No, TMD... It is a Hackman... Not a Garcia... The Garcia was a clone of the Hackman Survival Knife that was developed in response to a shortage of Randall 18 knives for the Vietnam War in the late 60’s early 70’s. The Hackman Survival Knife was designed by Ken Warner and Pete Dickey and produced in ...

Re: Hackman Balisong
Thank you for your nice words. I really appreciate that! Yes, because of the Vietnam history it is very interesting but I still think it is ugly...:) So far it is the exception in my collection... Meaning to say that I shall never buy a blade which I do not think is beautiful and keep it in my colle...

Hackman Balisong
When it comes to the Balisong I prefer FHM Balisongs. Anyway today I bought this one... A Hackman Balisong... For me, I must admit that it is hard to imagine a more ugly Balisong than this one but I bought it for the history of this model... In the book "SOG Knives and more from Americas war in Sout...

Some of my switchblades
I haven´t been buying a switchblade for a rather long time but now when we have a bad weather here I have been looking on some which I already have and then I start to think that it is time to buy a few again... Here are a few pictures of some of my switchblades... Best, Stefan 19 - kopia.JPG 20 - k...
