Re: Swingguard's swingguard/ Pushbutton & Teddy knife

Wow, my memory is definitely not what it used to be. I couldn't search the older stuff last night, so I couldn't confirm, but so I did some research this morning and realized that this knfe actually belonged to Spotlight Kid. I need to start eating better.
The knife is sold BTW.

SLK's swingguard/ Pushbutton & Teddy knife

Hey, haven't been active here in several years, but I was cleaning out the closet and man did it bring back memories. Knives just don't seem to give me the buzz like they used to, and my priorities have changed now that I have two lovely daughters. Anyhow, I found a couple knives, and I figured I wo...

If your looking for a Semi-auto 22, go with the Browning Buckmark. My dad has two, and his 6" target model is literally a tack driver. I personally stay away from Ruger, but purely on principle.

Another option for attaching scales is to screw them on from the inside. I've done several knives this way, and it gives a pinless look. I use some extremely small brass flathead screws I picked up at an ACE hardware store. All you do is champher the pin holes from the inside of the liner, drill the...

Now, why'd you have to go and do that? I'm forced to reside in the People's Republic of New Jersey and can't even own an AR with a flash a suppressor and you've got a pair of 45's with suppressors! That's it, I'm moving to Deleware and commuting.

I think the big issue there would be finding water clear enough to allow the light to pass through. Good idea though. I always carry a few non-lubed ones around for whatever. Good for keeping water out of your gun barrel, storing misc stuff you find along the way, toting water, hundreds of uses, and...

Well, whether it's in the works or not, I think it's just another sign of the times that the end is near for the new Rome. So just in case, I'm stocking up on bullets. Anyone want to split crate of 5.56?

I hope what Auto Max posted about the North American Union isn't true, it's a little too John Titor-esque for me to handle right now.

Oh, I know more than a few ways of starting a fire. When I was a kid, the local 4H had a summer program called Outdoor Survival. The folks in town called it Mary Kindred's School of Arson. You did your summer, then capped it off with a weeklong solo adventure in the wilderness with a 15 lb pack. Now...

I've looked at all the links provided, and gave it another shot tonight following the diagram on one of the links. Still a no-go. My wife said she would buy me one for my birthday, one of the gasketless ones, so I guess I'll just have to wait til march!

Fire Piston?

Mr. Vagrant,

I've been doing some research about a fire making device by such a name and wondered if you had any experience with them. I'm mostly curious if they are as effective as they claim to be. I'm gonna try to make one this weekend, so we'll see I guess. Thanks.

Try looking at knifekits.com for a pivot screw. You may have to drill out the pivot hole in the blade and boster though. If you want, you could even drill out all the holes and not have to worry about tapping anything. Vagrant, I believe a chicago screw is a common name for a binder post. I've used ...

I usually just answer the phone in my best Arab accent and tell them my name is Habib. Then I ask them if they have seen my goat, because he ran off with the sheep bitch next door. About this time, they put me on speaker phone and I tell them my sob story about how my goat ran off with my wallet, my...
