Did your procedure with a small swinger. 2oz. Hammer, taped off bolster just in case. Worked like a charm. Couple of taps and check it. Thanks.

Hackman experts chime in... mine has the same blade as this one with the grinds ending at the tip of the knife. I was told this grind was early. Most have a grind that continues down the blade ending up 1/2" behind the tip. I've seen this called a Scandi grind. Anybody know for sure ?

Those on tree are surely Asian. Very "waspy".

On the Italian minis, the newer one have two piece springs. You can see the "break" in the spring on the spine. On the Asians, hard to tell, doubt if any went back as far as the 60s, could be wrong. IMO

I have some with a little oval sticker on the back of the blade that says "Hong Kong". I would guess 80s, maybe 90s.
