Probably worth whatever you just paid for it. Unless you paid too much...lol

There's 7-8 on EBay now. Search button knives. I've currently waiting on a knife from Ukraine shipped April 10th...

Lol, that's where I bought it. I paid just under $100 and if it's authentic (certainly looks like it is) I'm happy with that. I'm a fanatic for swinguards anyway but it being a Russian Prison knife is the icing on the cake. That's assuming it shows up.

Lol, that prison knife thing is just an old knife urban legend. They are made in Ukraine by knife makers. Prisoners don't make knives like that.

That being said, of those Ukrainian knives that i have played with, the open-rocker leaf spring ones (like yours) are much more solid than the circle button coil spring ones. And they all seem to be a little different, like no two are exactly alike.

I realize the Russian Prisoner thing is a myth but it's an interesting and unmistakable description. I like em all

Very creative design way cool. Looks like someone took a kitchen knife and turned it into a swing guard switchblade.

For $100 I think you did pretty good compared to what they were selling for in the past. A guy was selling them here a few years ago and I don't recall seeing any at $100 , they were more. He tried to auction some off and got banned or just left, didn't go over well.

This one was posted by a eBay vendor who also has vintage clocks, watches and high dollar figurines. Probably does estate sales. That's ok, it not being their usual product line and from the Ukraine I'm thinking it's not just a piece of junk. We'll see soon i hope.

That guy is still selling them. He has an email list he sends offers out on. He's not trying that awkward auction by post thing anymore. I think that Ebay one is from him as the pic looks like one of his pics.

Yeah it very well might be him but for now that's ok. I'm a sucker for a swinguard and I like the design so what the hell. Hopefully I'll see soon I'm past the point of being impatient, lol. 🤞
