7” Japanese swing guard MINT

Post by Maltese flatguard »

Just beautiful! I also have a really nice and rare Japanese deer foot lever lock due to arrive any day. Both have unsharpened blades.

Thanks John. I’ve kind of taken a liking to the Japanese autos of the 1950s and 1960s. In fact I’m putting together a book on them and I have some amazing info.

The Japanese autos have a really neat history involving many continents.

They made some neat knives. Check out the bolsters and guards on these.

A lot of knives came out of Japan. Do you have or are you thinking of starting a collection of Japanese knives?

Nothing extraordinary here, but I have added a few JPL's to my collection.
