Small Hubie
Picked this up some days ago. Micarta scales which struck be as a bit odd.
Anyway, here 'tis .
An odd box with the date, purchase price and size written inside the cover.

Re: Small Hubie
Nice little box but I don't think the box is original with the knife.
Re: Small Hubie
Neither do I but the closed length is the size recorded inside the lid.
It seems like it's new stock, maybe just old?

Re: Small Hubie
Being micarta I would guess maybe 10-15 years old at the most.
I have never heard of Hen & Rooster being connected with Hubertus, but I could be wrong. BillD will know and probably chime in if I'm wrong.
As far as the box, H&R made many small pocket knives that are the size of the box.

Re: Small Hubie
I believe the '94 date in the box is right for the "Germany" mark on the blade etch. No opinion on the box.
Re: Small Hubie
It's a great little pocketknife; fits right in the watch pocket of my jeans.
I'm glad I bought it with the 'buy it now' feature on the 'bay.
I don't think it was ever used; seems like NOS .

Im no knife guru but I really like them. Small and reasonably priced enough that you can have a few of them in strategic places
Re: Small Hubie
Very nice, and looks like one I bought from Stu maybe 10 ? yrs ago except mine is a dark wood scale. Cocowood maybe?
I think Stu presented them, then, as the Hubertus 'Gentlemen's Knife' version, and I've always really liked mine. Great quality in a nice and unusually small size.
Anyway nice find, BillyFish! Because of the way autos from Europe come and go, had no idea they were still out there.

Nice find. These are great pocket knives and are fantastic when it comes to daily carry.
Looking good!
