After watching a number of online reviews I decided to jump on these. They were $14.95 each ($29.90 in all) shipped to me and are probably made from the same 1075 High Carbon Steel in El Salvador (on German machinery) as my Condor Tomahawk.
The reviews showed these 75% tang Bolo Camp Cleavers being used and abused with nary a ding in the edge. This sold me on their durability and the ability to hold a good edge under adverse conditions. I'm putting one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom as a "weak hand" companion to my Tomahawk(s).
They should prove useful in the kitchen for dicing vegetables, "rock slicing" pizza and other culinary duties. I have heard them "sing" while they're being used. This bears testimony to the heat treatment of the steel.
The Cleavers should be here by Friday the 15th. I''ll let everyone know how they hold up under daily use.
Cheers!
P.S. I'm thinking of naming them Wally and Theodore (They are from the Cleaver family, you know). Leave it to Cleaver(s)!

Re: I have ordered two (2) Marble's Bolo Camp Cleavers
I have no doubt that they will serve well in the kitchen because I read a review of the Marble's Bolo Camp Cleaver where the purchaser's wife had immediately commandeered the piece. The lady kept the "orange beast" in the kitchen and used the daylights out of it. This, in and of itself, tells me that these are great prep tools that last a long time. They may be 2-21/2 mm thick, but they can hold an edge like no one's business.
1075 High Carbon Steel blades hold a decent edge and can be resharpened "quick as a wink".

The Cleavers (Wally and Theodore) arrived in the morning mail. After spending 10 minutes on my 13-inch Lansky Sharpening Steel the two are ready for all sorts of around the house "short duties". At $14.95 each these 1075 High Carbon Steel boys look as if they can tackle just about any kitchen task.
I recommend them. Why pay a great deal of money for a kitchen "chopper" that won't likely see outdoor use? So far, I like them a great deal.

"Wally" and "Theodore" (The Marble's Camp Cleaver twins) are performing "yeoman" service in the house. The investment of $30.00 was more than worth it.
