Military Jack knives

Post by gravknife »

I have collected these over a period time and I am always looking for other examples.
A freind from the US kindly helped me add a knife I didnt have and couldnt bid on and he knows who he is ,and has my greatest thanks for his kindness , as it arrived safely today. :)
I can't post pics on the PM to show him how much it means so I am posting my examples here
The first group are aluminium and stainless examples the smallest is the current army issue and this one is from the Falklands war .
The larger examples are ww2 and post war naval knives .
The second group are a ww2 1939 jack knife,a ww1 jacknife and an SOE or Commando secondary knife...used to cut explosives etc.
The last group are also ww2 and re all different maker marked examples that saw service .

I am still looking to add a Canadian example with a C and Phaeon or crows foot ,and the American keen cutter but they are harder to find here now.

Hope you enjoy a look ...I know they arent switchblades unfortunately i'm not risking them at present.

I hope you are all well

that's an unusual and very nice looking collection of knives.Reminds me that I need to pick up a knife with a real marlin spike. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
