Movie Switchblades
I just mentioned the above pic in my intro-post... This sort of looks Rizzy-ish, but the blade seems to be a little different... anyone have any more pic's or info on the switchblade Ace has in the movie Stand By Me?

Here is another I found... looks like the guards on this one could use a tightening!

"What are you gonna do, kid? Shoot us all?"
"No Ace, just you."
"No Ace, just you."
Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade.

Awesome clip! I completely forgot that Stand by Me switch. Thanks for posting. Ace now collects Microtech I hear.
I got the "Cracked" and "Mad" comic magazines back then when that movie came out and they had fun with that movie.
Like in most issues (as JerryK mentioned before) the switchblade knife was drawn in the mags. That Mad magazine issue is in the #230 = #240 but I can't find the exact issue.

This is actually the first Rizzi I've seen like this. The handle looks like the "bat wing" Taiwan type, but the bolsters look like the "step bolster" Japanese style.
Nice knife whippersnapper you're always pulling out different topic knives and your examples are great.

I'd bought 2 of those clones off Blade Auction back in the day, probably 5-6 years ago... I broke them both... Guess I'll have to stick with the high quality Rizzuto's from now on (insert trollface.jpg)

I'm certain this is a clone, like Tom mentioned from Bell metal. It was purchased in Mexico in the late eighties, and was my first Italian "type" switchblade.Jeff_75 wrote:Tom19176 wrote:Whippersnapper you didn't have to go deep into the back of your safe to get the highly valued safe queen out!!! These are total pos, imo, and are one of the few auto's I would store open (in reference to the other thread). Not because of the spring wearing, but because of it peeking and wearing under constant pressure.

So this makes 2 Stephen King movies w/ Rizzutos I know of now.

Nevermind. It was a switchblade, but not a Rizzy...BTB0923 wrote: I'm think "It" might have had one.
