Counterfit benchmade 42's

Just stumbled across this website while searching for benchmade 42's. the site name is aliexpress.com. they sell benchmade and microtech fakes and they look 100 % real. Just wanted to lets everyone know whats out there.

100% real looking is a bit of a stretch. To the untrained eye maybe, but it's usually not hard to spot the differences if you're familiar with the real ones. For example, the pic of the fake 42 you just posted...look at the holes in the handle and compare it to a pic of a real 42. There's a subtle, but very telling, difference. It looks like the fake knives are cast from a mold, while the authentic knives are milled on a machine.

Thanks for the heads up, I've never seen a fake 42 before.

and the worst part is the microtech knives come with ser numbers

BTB it took me a while to see what you were talking about but I see it now, good eye, yeah the larger holes are not shiny like they were drilled, they look dull like the rest of the handle. Thanks for that.

Sure thing. The shape of the where the ovals dip into the handle is a little different too.
