Mike "Tank" Fisher

Mike "Tank" Fisher

Post by Bill DeShivs »

I am told that "Tank" Fisher, knifemaker extraordinaire, creator of the converted Case knives, and customizer for Latama has passed away.
That's all I know for now.

Rest in Peace Tank. . .
I remember your photo in a cowboy hat with your six shooter.

I was impressed with those thin-line Case conversions
where the knife behaved like a manual folder, . . .
then you could press the "secret" shield button for automatic release. . .

But so much of your work is beautiful.

I'm assembling some Hubertus knives for a fellow.
Got one together, but it refused to open all the way. I have been working the blade manually to break it in. I put grease on it in the shop.
Picked up a tube of Tank's Quick release and put a drop in the pivot.
The knife slams open now. It's really good stuff.
