Ladies, Fish, and Gentlemen,

It is now time for the yearly Wally/Bonz Amazing Blue Oyster Cult get together for drinks, chuckles, dischord and springsteel managerie this sunday night in SF, Sodom by the Sea. This year however (due to a slight incident with Mrs. Bonz that has landed her in rehab), I will be taking my gorgeous 16 year old daughter (HANDS OFF MOTHERFUCKERS), and one of her friends to see their first BOC show. If no one hears from either of us for a week or so, please pass the hat and send bail funds to: Wally & Bonz, c/o San Francisco County Jail. Got the springsteel loaded, and ready to go by way of the redwoods.

Best regards,

Bonz

If I thought they'd do some of their old stuff, there's no limit
to how far I'd go to see them. Harvester of eyes, Dominance &
submission, ME 262...... But their newer stuff just doesn't do it
for me. Killed many a brain cell while listening to the Secret Treaties
album back in the early 70's. Still have some of their old vinyl.
Hope ya come back deaf,

Buck

Hey Bonz and Wally, let us know how it goes. Looking foreward to a report on the Amazing Blue.

Buckshot, I saw them twice last year and they played a lot of their old stuff. They often start out the show with "Stairway to the Stars" and usually do "Godzilla" and "Dominance and Submission." Seems they like to save "Don't Fear the Reaper" for an encore song a lot. One of the few cover songs they've been know to do is "Born to be Wild" (Bloom used to ride his bike out on stage) or "Roadhouse Blues." Good choices there. I wish they would play some of the more obscure tunes. Revolution by Night is an awesome album. They were talking about the men in black before most people had ever heard of them. The only album I didn't really dig was Curse of the Hidden Mirror (a bit too slow for my tastes) it lacked the hard edge one expects from a hard core, industrial strength heavy metal band. Buck Dharma's still considered one of the top three guitar players in the world by many. He can really grind that axe!!

shiver, haven't listened to them in a long time, then my wife got
me a CD, best of BOC, there is a long semi-acoustical version of
both " don't fear the reaper" & " Godzilla" Cranked up the old Technics &
sat in between them. Out of this world! Only saw them live once
in Philly they were with either J Geiles (?) or Uriah Heep. Can't
remember which. I do remember doing a couple of hits of window pane
that night, came home & sat in the bath tub for almost 2 days & played
with those little plastic army men. Truly ahead of their times, the
art work on the Secret Treaties album, the ME 262 & dead dogs (wolves)
Incredible!

Greetings, Mr. Vagrant-

AS per my PM to ya', the Amazing Blue Oyster Cult plays May 1st, at the Hampton Beach Casino, backed up by UFO. Svambuca yerself up, and don't mention your ol' pal Wally's name to any BOC roadies.

AS ever,

Your ol' pal,

Wally J. Corpse

Mr. Buckshot-

The BOC show at Slim's has been a tradition for the last 4 years, and they really rock the joint. Mr. Doofus Emeritus and I will be comfortably numbified in our seats with table, front of the balcony, the memorial roofer's section. They almost always play their familiar favorites, and every now and then, will slip in 'Then Came The Last Days Of May', and 'Joan Crawford Has Risen From The Grave'. Last year they suprised me with 'Astonomy'. Kinda rare for them, judging from the few times I've heard it in the live over the last 31 years that I've been seeing them yearly. Alas, they have never performed any tunes from their greatest album- 'Imaginos', due to snivelling from previous band members over the profiteering rights. If'n you aren't familiar with that one, check it out. Out of print in the US since 1988, it's available from Eurpoe online. My favorite 'Imaginos' tune is -"The Seige And Investiture Of Baron Von Frankenstein's Castle At Weisseria", more commonly called 'World Without End'. The 'Imaginos' tale, an epic saga, has roots in actual mystic history, and is quite interesting. It was BOC's concept album, but din't do well with the album buyers without a conceptual ability. The Guitar Orchestra of the State of Imaginos included Robbie Kreiger, Tommy Morningiello, Aldo Nova, and Joe Satriani. Try it, it's good for the head...

AS ever,

Your ol' pal,

Wally J. Corpse

Greetings Wally
A couple of times they have played at the park in Manchester.
Usually around Memorial Day, Fireworks [off the Bridge Street Bridge], lots of bad food, that costs too much, and BOC all FREE [except the food]. It's closer than Hampton and usually pretty laid-back with no hassles.

If you guys are into music I hope you can help me out. I'm a 60s 70s kinda guy but the other day I was at a garage sale, and there was a gold record for sale for the band faster pussycat madeout to Cadillac Jack McCarthy, any idea who he is? I know the band is a hair band from the 80s, but he's not part of the 6 guys on the albums. Could he be a manager, or maybe an agent? Thanks for any help
