Hi all,

Just playing with the scanner and I found some negatives I thought were gone for ever.....I thought perhaps some of you might like to see what this ole Brit used to do for a living.....

Stones and bricks

Teddy,

What would you charge me to put a #8 in my backyard?

Mr. Falcon,

For you as a forum member getting special discount.. A mere $36,433, 075.99

YOU would have to provide the sacrificial virgin.

Oh... and payment is half up front and the balance on completion.

Teddy,

The price seems reasonable but I'm keeping the virgin. Couldn't we just kill a chicken or something?

Mr. Falcon,

Sorry..... it HAS to be a virgin (of the young and attractive female kind) I tried it one time with a "slightly used" (she was VERY attractive) virgin and lived to regret it.... I shudder to think what would happen if a mere chicken was sacrificed.

Mr. Vagrant,

That's US dollars...and the price is non-negotiable....however...Mr. Falcon might be needing a virgin for the opening ceremony if he chooses to go ahead with his order....he might give you a good price for one... if, of course, you can find one...(kidnapping is a no-no...they have to volunteer)

I'm told that a chicken will do the job, but only for Reformed Druids. Oh yeah, you are not allowed to choke it.

Teddy,

You wrote "you might like to see what this ole Brit used to do for a living..... " After reviewing number 8, I now understand that the emphasis is on "ole"

By the way, nice work!

Cheapie American tract homes have pre-cast chimneys tilted up by cranes. But with the new air quality standards, fireplaces are about to become a thing of the past in some parts of the country - especially California.

Mr. Falcon,

Many of the fireplaces I used to build were just show-pieces .... the "fires" were GAS (that's gas as in "natural gas" not in gasoline :D ).... imitation logs or coal with a gas flame are less of a pollutant....... you still get the CO2 problem of course but other fuels (hydrogen?) could probably get round that ..

Teddy,

It seems such a shame to put imitation gas logs into one of your masonry masterpieces. It's like putting imitation horn scales on a Burns custom stiletto.
