9" "Topless Bolster"

Post by JulesVane »

Just a 9" Topless Bolster- Button Open/Button Close. Steel liners, "D" stamped. 1-piece spring, brass pins. INOX in an oval. The look of the top bolsters sure take some getting use to!

That looks like a good one. Do these ones have the slot sear holes or regular round holes?

I really like them. Maybe because they are different.

Your knife is very cool. I have heard these called "Derby Bolsters"
I have owned a couple. Most I have seen have INOX blades.

I had one that had a ROMA stamp.

I was going to mention the term "derby bolster" but didn't because the photos do show the derby type top bolster but the bottom bolster looks to be standard, as opposed to yours Jeff, where the bottom bolster also appears shorter.

Good eye Jim. Most that I have seen did have a short boLster.

Thanks Chris. I don't mean to but in on your thread.

Not at all Jeff, exactly where I'd like to see as many as we can! You didn't mention the size of yours. Interesting about the shorter bottom bolster. Yours does seem shorter all the way around. Is it an 8" or less?
