Mini Japanese Lockback Stilettos
Picked up these two little mini manual Japanese lockback stilettos from an antique shop today. One of them is from Valor. What year do you reckon these are from? I got one for just $3 and the other for $6. They look a little bit like the Rizzutos. They’re little guys but they’re probably the closest thing to a Rizzuto I’ve ever had.

Re: Mini Japanese Lockback Stilettos
They are from the 1970s to early 1980s. Valor was a FL importer of many Japan knives back then, These were often sold by Westbury Sales in NY, and the Len Company in NY. They are sometimes called the " one cent stiletto" because there was an AD that ran for years saying buy one and get a second one for once cent more.....

That dagger blade one has a locktab. I don't think I've seen that on one of these before. Or I might have just not noticed it before.

Though I've probably got enough true Rizzys than I should, these tiny little humpbacks must have reminded me of the Batwing Rizzys too. Hey, all Japanese, right? lol....

Thanks for the info Tom! I also have a Valor balisong which is probably from the ‘80s. Got it for $40. Maybe I’ll post a pic of that later.Tom19176 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 9:48 am They are from the 1970s to early 1980s. That black Batwing humpback has a VIC stamp. I don't think I've seen that before.
