It's so weird how it seems like there was usually very little, or zero, communication between the guy who designed the knife and the guy who drew the patent drawing for him. I feel bad for anyone who tried making a lockback based on that pic.

Nice group Jim. I remember the 11" modern runs going for $65-80 from Stu and Rick. Flat button and round button. I saw a 11" at the Mystic show last year on the table for $85 with horn handles and a bayo blade. It did have a gap on the back spring, and when I picked it up to look at it the dealer said " you can have it for $70".. I didn't buy it and it was still there when I left...Not sure what they sell for now???

JimBrown257 wrote: Sun Jul 26, 2020 2:24 am I don't think I have ever seen an 11" swinger with an AKC stamp before.

And there is one other size of vintage swinger, at least technically. There is the 9" with the German blade, which makes it about 8.25".
Was able to add the vintage German market length swinguard. Best example I could find at this time...

Added another 8" on 10/15/20...

I collect 16cm switchblades and was very fortunate to find a vintage 16cm swinger a few years ago.

It has a beautiful stag scale on the back and -- oddly -- a shaved stag scale on the front.
