The neatest lil novelty (5,5”) SKM white pearlex/swedge

Post by picklocksrock »

The neatest lil novelty. I saw this up there and I couldn’t resist giving the lil fella a new home! Great action and snap for such a tiny switchblade. Hand made in Maniago Italy. Also the bugger is extremely sharp. Overall I’m pleased with it.

I like those little ones too, the ones that have all the features of the big boys but just miniaturized. I believe Oreste DiBon made these back in the day. He is no longer with us, sad to say.

Is this piece marked SKM? I don't recall them selling these.

I wonder if someone else is making then now. I have owned quite a few. Never one stamped Maniago Italy.

The knife was advertised as an SKM and just a regular flat grind no swedge. But when I finally got the knife delivered I noticed it had a swedge and it didn’t say SKM on the tang. Maybe the company just gave me the closest thing they had in stock I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ I love these mini switchblades though I think their great collectables, but to be honest it’s not really the best built knife, it’s got some play and it does not open that fast. Also it is a bit loose in construction, but I like it! Hopefully some day I can find an Dibon that would be nice!

I like the square hole they used on these.
