Re: Derby BO/BC's
VERY nice pair of hard to come by knives. I recently was able to acquire an 8" with a front tang stamp with "INOX" over a "gondola image" over "VENEZIA." The back tang stamp is the same as your two... "PATENT" over "No 460." I was told that the knife I have could be from the 50's - 60's because of the "VENEZIA" stamp. I'd welcome confirmation if anyone can tell with certainty as info on these older knives is hard to come by at times.

It helps if you attach the pics your discussing. Sorry about that.
Re: Derby BO/BC's
Chris51P...that's a cool Venezia stamp on yours! Here's a photo portlandmike provided. Hope it helps...
...hmm. Kinda' hard to read, I know. But, appears to be a 1970's production.

Beautiful
Re: Derby BO/BC's
Thanks for the info JulesVane. Any and all info on these older knives is appreciated. I have several older knife books but they can't cover every knife ever made.
Re: Derby BO/BC's
I wish I knew more about the Venezia stamp on yours. I THINK that stamp goes way back and I'm surprised to see it on a more modern knife. It's a cool stamp. Your knife came from a seller in Germany, correct?

Correct. Were you my competition? More recently I missed out on an old 9” fulcrum release with “PATENT” over “35958” over “INOX” in an oval. And I didn't want to miss this one also.
