Beautiful Buffalo Horn

Post by thom »

Really nice 11" Buffalo Horn picklock with flat guards. One of my favorites. Opens fast with great sound and solid as a rock lockup.

Really nice Thom! What's the stamp on this flatguard picklock? Modern/vintage/custom?

It’s a Burn. I bought it second hand, it’s like new. I couldn’t be happier with it. Not a nick or scratch on it. Unbelievably quick firing and the tightest lock up of any knife I own. This has the build quality you expect and pay for from Burn.
It has “BURN” stamped on blade. Must be an older one. Before I polished.

Beautiful!
Question:
When The scale material is referred to as Buffalo Horn is it Bison, or is it Water Buffalo?

My guess would be water buffalo, seems like I heard that somewhere.

They aren't American Bison, so I pretty certain they are from Water buffalo. I'm sure Bill deshivs would know for sure.
