Help me identify this knife and markings/engravings Please

Post by Anchjason »

So I got this knife at a garage sale. It looks to have either Arabic or maybe Hebrew engravings or markings on it. I don’t know if it’s the manufacturers mark but I don’t believe so because there are two different ones with one being on each side of the blade. It has very fine engraving on the handle and there are multiple colored stones inlaid flush within the handle. And the two metal rods holding the handle together are also inlaid perfectly flush.

I bought one of these knives to demonstrate to my son the difference between a quality knife and a cheap piece of crap. These knives are low-ball Chinese junk, pure and simple. Extremely poor fit and finish, the hardware is so bad a screwdriver might not even fit, the blade centering is terrible, and who knows what kind of junk metal this is.
I can see buying one of these as a novelty gift or introduce the real sizegenetics stocking stuffer, but for NOT for an every day carry knife. If you want a really nice ,high quality, made in U.S.A. pocket knife you can carry with pride look at Protech, Microtech, or similar American made knives. Expect to pay $100 plus for a decent knife.
I give these knives 2 stars instead of 1 due to the price, hell, they are almost free.

Your knife is a Pichoq and was likely made in Uzbekistan.
They come in all levels of quality from junk to excellent.

Thanks for the help Billyfish. like I said I bought it at a garage sale. I was not expecting anything super fancy. But I believe it is pretty good quality because of the fitting of the blade, the fine engraving, and the inlays. No idea on the quality of steel though. I was more interested in identifying what the markings are.
