And so why was there so much bad soldering done on these types of rockers compared to regular rockers? Most button/rockers are the traditional hollow NS on the steel hump. Yet those are rarely fallen off. Most of the missing button vintage pls I have seen are the flat base ones.

Probably because they were making them as fast as they could-possibly soldering in batches.
