Due Buoi forged stiletto
I found this under my Christmas Tree. What a well built knife. I believe this one is Briar Wood. Like a mini Burn. Wish I could find another.

That's sweet Tom! Santa sure was good to you! I haven't actively searched for a piece like yours, but I'd surely welcome one if ran across. Congrats!

Congrats! That's one sleek, solid lookin' Italian. I like the flush ground pins and scales.

When I ordered it, I wasn't sure. When I got it I was a little surprised. It's a Button Open, Button Close. I like it. Extremely well made, solid and heavy.

I love the dark horn. Any idea what years they were made?
Re: Due Buoi forged stiletto
thom,
My understanding is that there were some runs made and each run may have contained knives with different scales. It wasn't as if all knives in each run had the same scales. So, it is hard for me to answer your question.

Re: Due Buoi forged stiletto
They were well made being largely forged and all. However, they were very expensive, and there were problems with the safety mechanism as well as other internals that made them difficult to work on. Some repair folks would not touch them. I sold my first run some years ago due to dissatisfaction with it. I also understand that the US distributor was unpleasant to deal with, which did not help sales.
