Comissioned straight razor
I figure I might as well post this since I have been taking pics... A guy I went to high school with gave me $150 and wanted a straight razor geared more towards offensive use than shaving.
As it is now, the blade has been full convex ground on both sides and is ready for HT. Blade and spacers are 3/16" ATS34 and frame slabs are .120" 304 stainless. It will be pinned with 303 stainless.

Well, I find that pretty offensive.

I'm curious why you would want to carry a straight razor to use for a defensive/offensive tool. There are so many better options of folding knives meant for that purpose.

Totally understandable-everybody here has at least one "thing" for something...
Re: Comissioned straight razor
Being a straight razor shaver i can really appreciate this piece. What are planned for scales? Look forward to the finished product! Thanks for the photos.

Interesting piece, i'm a little vague on the defensive part but none the less. Have you ever tried a hollow grind? On a straight razor it give the cutting edge a lot more cutting properties, just my two cents..lol. I made a few of them in the past when done correctly they are sickly sharp.
Good Luck with it,
CC
