I was perusing the Randall Knives website and spied the Smithsonian Bowie:

I really believe this looks a bit like the knife I have with an inch shorter blade and a slightly longer clip.

I asked DK ONLY KNives about the "air quenching" of their D2 steel. They replied,
Hi
We use Vacuum tempering (with air quenching) and the hardness is around 60-61 hrc. After the knife is ready (completely finished), the hardness gets around 59-60hrc
I have listed a lot of new items in last few days and I am sure you can find something you like.
