If fishing with a Samoyed in the canoe use cheapo EVERYTHING unless it floats. Those dogs do NOT believe in "catch and release" and will dump the canoe trying to get fish away from you!

blackjack,

You wrote "Also when you are aimlessly clicking open one of your knives make sure all your fingers, and other body parts are clear (OUCH!)"

Your point is particularly salient when the switchblade being fired is a ProTech Godfather!

I absent-mindedly opened my Godfather with my LEFT thumb. This caused the handle to flip out and left me holding the sharp end! Amazingly, I was not cut but I wouldn't want to try it again. :?
I collect springblades but I carry my "thumbers."

The Dalton Assassin has left me w/ a whole new list of No Nos.
A double edged side opener is something you close VERY carefully. :(

Hi. I've got an Assassin coming in the mail. May I have your list, please?

I have a feeling the knife is going to change a few of my habbits. I bought it for it's size and design, but I don't care for double-edge knives.

an attempt to close the assassin like I do the B Dragon and B Bones ended rather poorly for me. The springs on those big knives of his are like pushing against a wall. A very sharp wall :(

This one's really basic-

Always whittle away from yourself.

I still have the scar on my face after almost 50 years.

My scars remind ME what not to do, I'll let others "earn their stripes" like I did.

When have a few with the boys always remember the phrase: wanna see something cool, is usually followed by: who's taking me to the Hospital.

If it involves cutlery, firearms or explosives I try to get away or inside a car. Expressions like "Look what I can do." "Watch this" etc. indicate things have gone too far and serious injury is likely. [Why is drunks want everyone to watch them hurt themselves?]

Usually cause it's funny as hell when a pal does something stupid. Most times a loud howl of laughter is heard for several seconds before anybody asks: Are you OK.

Glad I never did it myself but it sounds very familiar.
