When BA was down

Post by Claudester »

Just curious

When BA was down, did anyone kind of switch their habits or find other interests? I bought some really nice vintage folders, Queen, American Blade, Case and started a collection of CRKTs. I got one 9" Italian lockback
called a Viper with a stag handle, it was made in Maniago. The steel for the blade says W.Nr.1.4116. Has anyone heard of such? Great looking blade.

The chart did not transpose well but the top line lists added elements [in order], below that it lists the types of steel. the first listing after the steel type is carbon, then chrome, manganese, silicon, molybdenum and vanadium, in that order. The one in question lists only carbon and chrome no added elements. The carbon and crome content is very similar to 420 stainless.

One thing I have not done is find a steel chart that makes sense, have wasted a lot of time combing Crucible's 'site to no avail... so foggetabout that one.

Have not gotten in on the Scottie Dog craze. Did renew my flubber and crazy ball supplies just in time for Haloween.

When BA went down I became catatonic. Other than some blurry disjointed conversations with Wally in the rec room, I don't remember a friggin thing. :?

Maybe Mr. Sammy will volunteer his services
The scotty dog items are for my mother and sister. both of which raise scottish terriers. These are christmas gifts for them. I keep my knife bids to the last minute because of auction peeping vultures LIKE YOU
